DeadLine

The heading is so obvious, today is the day where everyone is tired and feels like crap but still have to present to Ronald our work! We were the last group and thus, gave us more time to finish up on our compilation. I though t that it would be cooler and better with some added sound effects.

However, we didn't had time for that and everyone was panicking very heavily. I for once was pretty calm and had ideas in my head. Oh well, the idea of not using sound really failed us pretty badly.

I must say that its really and experience and a lesson learnt. It hurts to be marked down, especially when your it is your grades. Mal did a great job in prersenting she totally nailed it all. I think its a job and that might be what that really save the day.

In the end, we still failed because some cant move because of the harsh comment that was bestowed upon us. It is a great experience in explaining the unexpected. I think that we spent too much time time on the art itself and not the real thing. looks like we are gonna get a dustpan...

We got till Monday...lets do it guys

Tuesday Blues

Well...I know that we said yesterday that we would keep ourselves awake, but sometimes, it just can't be helped. The fact is that everyone of us fell asleep at my place, I think its because of all the comfortable couches. That is why today is a very crucial day for us. There will be almost no sleep at all.

Again, we went back to Jake's cozy apartment to finish up on the little bits here and there. the tension there was very tight and even a blink of an eye would cause delay our limited time. Honestly, there is so much to do, and so little time.

Mal went ahead with the slids whiles Jake is still drawing out the frames. As for the rest of us, we continued working on the background and as much as possible, reduce the work load for the defector leader, which is Jake. I must say that the one with an ending in mind truly knows his stuff, that's why Jake is the main character of the team. Not saying that he is more important, but he is the guide to our completion.

I would comment that Jen is pretty efficient at staying up late to complete her task. She seems like she is never tired, even till today, where I still see her as the same as any other days.

It is good to see a workaholic, however, for me, I just cannot take the wear and tear. I would crumble upon weariness and thus, I am feeling some blues now. I tend to get agitated more frequently.

Oh that is not that point anyway, This point is that we can do it ask a team. We will survive the night.

Monday at my place

Finally, after staying over at Jake's, it is back to my house, where there is almost everything we need to do work. (I need space and lots of water)

We headed straight back to my place after class and hit the study immediately. Jake made his call for he has the plans in mind thus, he assigned us with task to complete for the night. We told ourselves that we wouldn't sleep for we understood the ideal of time constrain. I would say that my groupmates are pretty determinded to get things done, even when either of us are not really well versed in the understanding of the softwares.

I feel that as each day carries on in midst of this production, we get closer and more bonded with each other, there is seldom arguements and we all understood the ideal of mutual respect. Thus, I am pretty happy to be in my group.

I am sure that we can finish it on time and score well in this module, though I am like tired and worn out from the sleepless nights and I am feeling very drowsy.

Sunday Stayover

We planned to stay over at my house today to stay over and finish up all the scenes that needed to be drawn out. However, due to unforseen circumstances, we changed the location to Jake's house.

Well, it was sudden thus, everyone went there late before starting work. I was assigned with the task of finishing up the given storyboard backgrounds along with Yuan Ming. I must say that the starting was pretty annoying. We tried to configure the best possible way to go about doin it and we realised that painting over it directly would be too tedious.

Thus, we inculcated some effects to hasten the work rate.
Surprisingly, it worked to our expectation and its all thanks to Jen that found the solution to our problems, otherwise, we will be sitting ducks.

It was really difficult to draw with different artistes thus, Jake was assigned to be the storyboard artist in terms of the humans figures. In short, we tried to put everyone in doing what they are well-known for. As for me, I am pretty flexible and creative in photoshop, thus, I took up the task to handle the photoshop elements.

I realised that actually, our group have got more talents that I thought. I see the similar and differences in everyone and I am glad that I have them as my group members.

Oh well...no time to slack, theres more work to be done and I am feeling very drowsy, which is not a good thing.

Tired Saturday Productiom

OH MY GOD! I went to sch today and theres no Apel!

That aside...Today's shoot was pretty fast, all we have to do is to just get the begining and the ending done with. So we finally chose a right classroom, actually, its the one that we ran of during the running scene. So yea, we were lucky afterall.*

Its was things went pretty fast as I was just too tired and we were like trying to get things done asap. Luckily I bought my cam out so we used that instead. So that means I got photos...and photos speak louder than words so yea...

Oh did I mention that we shot in 16 : 9? Yea...fortunately, my cam does that and it looks really great! I can't show too much so I'll just show some of the best...

Production Friday

This is the day we sat down together again...but this time its kind of like decision making...We had to finalise our ideas and I must say that compromising is really the best thing to do for everyone. Every individual have got good ideas, its just how we mange and combine them to one good idea. Oh well, what can I say, we are good.

After deciding on the shot and stuff, we got started! We decided to take photo references as to spare us the agony of trying to make the perspective ourselves, which will turn out pretty bad. So like everyone else, we went around to look for the most suitable room for the classroom scene. Of course, we're not that lucky to strike jackpot on the first attempt.

We sort of like gave up looking for one and decided to do the rushing out scene first. We took a little longer than usual for that as it was sort of like the first attempt with Jen as the photgrapher and Jakes as the director. As for Yuan and I, We played Jack and Jill because we look good...haha...

Moving on the the lift scene, I felt really annoyed there. Reason so is because we had to use the lift as the scene and there are always people taking it and disrupting us! Its not really their fault but they should have taken the stairs, excercise a little and they can prevent diabetes. =)

To be impartial, we actually caused the lift commuters a lot of inconvenience but that is not my point so I shall skip it, or yea, Sorry for the inconvenience.

After lots of Ngs by Yuan(Sparstic hand and face) and of course, some of which by me cuz I cant stop laughing at Yuan, we got it done. Thus we headed down to the mushroom to take the crucial scene. We were lucky there arent many people there. It would be embarassing to pose in the midst of a crowd because Jen's camera died out so we have to use Jake's cameraphone, which is so not built for fast motion.

At the end, everyone was tired and finally, we finished and called it a wrap!

There is still more to be done.... T_T

First Post of the days so far

Jem say "Yo whats up!" on the first post of updates on project pitching.

Lets see...I'll take 19/6/08 as day 1 then since thats when we started out.

Day 1...

This is officially the day we met up together to discuss on the issues of how to go about doing our storyboard. Jake's made the defecto leader because he took initiative in everything, including the timeline of our work. Thus thou shall not let him and everyone down by not doing my work!

Down to the real stuff now...We sat in canteen(not really the best place for a discussion) for our discussion. We had to decide if we want to follow closely to the story given, or give it a twist of our own. Lets just say we prefer to be a little more creative rather than to be restrained within the story.

I actually wanted to follow close to the story for I had almost everything planned out very nicely within the depths of my mind. Well, I guess its nice to have a change for once, besides, theres not really limitations in everyones creativity and participation for we decided to rip scenes from each and every mates storyboard.

That was the day we got everything planned out and also, that was the day we went for CG overdrive. It's really an eye opener but nothing there really attracts me, oh maybe the games. =)
